🎓 Teaching · the issuing authority

Instructor, School of Computing, Holy Angel University.

I teach college-level software engineering at the School of Computing at Holy Angel University in Angeles City. I have completed one year in the classroom. This page is the authority behind the badges issued on this site: who I am, the courses I run, how the work is graded, and what each badge attests. Every badge links back here so anyone verifying a credential can see where it came from.

The courses

6APSI

Application and System Integration. JavaScript into React, then a Node, Express and Postgres midterm build.

6ADET

Application Development and Emerging Technologies. Dart into Flutter, front end through to a shipped app.

6INTROWEB

Basic Programming in Web Development. HTML, CSS and JavaScript, from first page to a deployed portfolio.

How the work is graded

Every course runs on a GitHub-native platform I built. Students submit real repositories; each activity is graded against a canonical test suite, and design work carries a written rubric. A badge is earned by completing its designated badging activities at the published 75% threshold, after instructor review and approval. Each award records the specific activities it recognizes. Badge pages explain the criteria, and individual certificates include verification details. Historical participation awards remain available while their eligibility is reconciled; they do not certify the new activity-based threshold.

What that looks like

Here is an illustrative slice of the responsive-web work, mapped to the published Basic Programming in Web Development badge criteria. It is an example of the evidence I look for, not a copy of a current assignment or a student submission.

StructureThe repository contains a page with semantic HTML elements that match the content.
LayoutCSS uses grid or flexbox to organize the page, with typography and spacing that support its hierarchy.
Small screensAt a phone width, the content stays readable and the layout adapts without horizontal overflow.
ReviewThe activity's canonical checks cover runnable behavior; the written rubric covers the design decisions those checks cannot judge.

In the room

Beyond the courses I coach and judge student work in the wider community.
